13.02.2012 - State regulation and Russian pharmaceutical industry in 2012: Running the Dialog

The 4th Conference of Associations will be held on 5 April 2012 in Borodino Hotel (Rusakovskaya Street, 13). Participants will focus on integration of Russia in global institutions and effects it will have on the pharmaceutical industry: the EU experience and the Customs Union issues.

     

        The key session will address harmonization of the drugs registration and circulation systems, the experience of European countries in development of unified requirements for regulatory documentation, operation in new legal and economic environment, interrelation between GxP and the drugs registration system.

       During the discussion, experts will consider various matters of integration in global economy (WTO, the Customs Union, OECD) including general guidelines, timeframes for implementation, accession to WTO and its consequences in terms of tariffs, protection of data exclusivity, preferences for local manufacturers, harmonization of the drugs admissibility regulation mechanisms, changes in antimonopoly practice, and potential competitive advantages of Russian pharmaceutical industry.

       The Conference will end with an online discussion of non-government organizations regarding the dialogue between professional communities and the government bodies on how to increase efficiency of their joint efforts.

       The invited speakers represent the Customs Union Commission, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Health and Social Development, the Federal Service on Surveillance in Healthcare and Social Development (Roszdravnadzor), the Federal Antimonopoly Service, Ministry of Health of Belarus and Kazakhstan, etc.

         The Conference arrangement efforts were equally shared by the Association of the Russian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (ARPM), the Society of Professional Pharmaceutical Organizations (SPPO), the Association of European Business (AEB), and the Pharmacy Guild with the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (AIPM).
